Two icons collide! I watch this all the time. Gord brings something to the speaker that wasn't there, and it works. -Mo

Downie makes for a shifty, nervous representation of Purdy. I like him well enough in music, but I don't think he really captured the essence of Al Purdy. I also found the image of the Quinte Hotel to be rather stylized in a kind of shabby -chic MTV way. Nice try, but not likely to thrill fans of Al Purdy's poetry. -Aidan
