Ballet superstars Rex Harrington and Evelyn Hart move in sync with each other as if they’re the only two people in the world, let alone this studio. But with one lift, Hart’s dress rips at the seam, the music screeches to a halt. Amid the chaos, the visionary behind the film watches the dress rehearsal silently, with only a slight crease in her brow.
