Bravo!FACT-funded Films to Screen at Clermont-Ferrand

Screening in competition at France’s 34th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is Andrew Cividino’s We Ate the Children Last. During the festival, which runs from January 27 – February 4, 2012, two other Bravo!FACT films will screen in the Film Market: The Legend of Beaver Dam, directed by Jerome Sable; and Mulvar is Correct Candidate!, directed by Patrick Désilets.

Two Bravo!FACT-funded shorts head to Miami!

The 2011 edition of the Miami Short Film Festival is in full swing, and will be screening two shorts tonight which were produced with funding from Bravo!FACT. Mike Roberts’ RumbleSeat screens as part of the “Breaking Glass” programme at 7:30, while at 9:30 “Our Secret Lives” includes Sarah Goodman‘s Hidden Driveway.

Four Bravo!FACT-funded Shorts Screen at Whistler

This year’s Whistler Film Festival will screen four Bravo!FACT shorts November 30 through December 4 at the mountain ski resort in British Columbia: Tabula Rasa directed by Matthew Rankin, Up in Cottage Country by Simon Ennis starring Liane Balaban, At Lunchtime: A Story of Love by Brad Dryborough, and Pleased to Meet You by Michael MacLennan, based on a short story by B.C.-based author Caroline Adderson.

Three Bravo!FACT-funded shorts screening in Montreal

On 15 November Prends ça court! will celebrate 12 years of promoting short films with a screening which includes three shorts produced with funding from Bravo!FACT. Issues by Flashpoint’s Hugh Dillon and Enrico Colantoni; Sorry, Rabbi by Mark Slutsky and starring Jacob Tierney and Jessica Paré; and Mulvar is Correct Candidate! by Patrick Désilets will all be screened at the event.

Ten Bravo!FACT-funded shorts heading to St. Louis

Now in its 20th year, the Stella Artois St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) is one of the largest international film festivals in the Midwest. SLIFF showcases the best in cutting-edge features and shorts from around the globe. This year’s line-up includes ten shorts produced with funding from Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent): In the Light, directed by Glen Wood, Alex and the Ghosts by Eric Warin, RumbleSeat by Mike Roberts, Envy by Bruce McDonald, Gluttony by Ann Marie Fleming, Greed by Jamie Travis, Lust by Anita Doron, Pride by Joe Cobden, Wrath by Larry Weinstein, and File Under Miscellaneous by Jeff Barnaby. The festival will be held 10-20 November, at various locations around St. Louis.
