Next Friday 14 October is your opportunity to find out about funding at the Planet in Focus Funding Workshop.
Canadian filmmakers need grants to make their films, but how many can write a proper application? Hear tips and caveats directly from the arts councils, Bravo! and the CMF in this hands-on workshop. Moderator is filmmaker and PiF Industry Programmer Allan Tong, and panel members include Francesca Acinelli (CMF), Judy Gladstone (Bravo!FACT), Mark Haslam (OAC), William Huffman (TAC), and Howard Rosen (Bell NMF). The event takes place at 9:30 at the Miles Nadal JCC (750 Spadina Avenue, Toronto) in the Al Green Theatre, and admission is $15, or by Festival Pass or Industry Pass.
For more information, visit the Planet in Focus website.
Saturday 1 October, the Queen St. West BIA is presenting its third annual all-night site-specific art exhibition, Out of Site: Contemporary Art Works on Queen St. West.
As part of this event, join us for a free outdoor screening of short films from across the country – including TIFF 2011 hits Up In Cottage Country, Good Boy, and Something Red, and a series of shorts exploring the Seven Sins. All the shorts were produced with grants awarded by Bell Media’s Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent).
