Seven Bravo!FACT shorts at the Atlantic Film Festival

Seven shorts funded by CTVs Bravo!FACT have been selected to screen at this years Atlantic Film Festival. Considered one of the top four film festivals in Canada, the AFF is a ten-day celebration of film and video from the Atlantic provinces, Canada and around the world, and runs from 11 20 September 2008 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Dance, hypnotism, and the high-energy pop of The Hidden Cameras meet in musician/director Joel Gibbs In the Na, while Watchmaker mixes the raucous party-folk of The Tom Fun Orchestra with frame-by-frame hand-painted and scratched animated graphics by Christopher Ball.
The reverberations of a distant battle interfere with childrens preparations for a concert in David Birnbaumss Found Objects; Graeme Lynch rekindles the magic of childhood in Miranda and Gordon; romance may blossom for Liane Balaban in Bill Robertsons Valentine Haircut.
Randall Okita envisions a strange world populated by delicate machines in Machine with Wishbone, while Jay Dahl investigates a more disturbing strangeness in the suburban thriller There Are Monsters.
Organised by the Atlantic Film Festival Association, the AFF is a committed to promoting and building a strong film industry in Atlantic Canada and presenting the best films from the region and around the world to the community.
