Kevan Funk

Kevan Funk is an award winning writer and director who has had numerous short films screen at festivals around the world. Kevan was introduced to the arts at an early age, being raised in and around his parents’ grassroots theatre company.

In 2010, his short film A Fine Young Man premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to win the Grand Jury Prix at the Melbourne International Film Festival, garnering Kevan three 2011 Leo Awards (Best Short Film, Best Direction, Best Screenwriting).  Kevan was invited to take part in the 2012 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival Talent Lab. His short film, Saint Pierre, premiered at the 50th New York Film Festival.

Kevan also directed the bravoFACT short, This Bleeding Heart.  

Over the past years he has split his time working between Canada and Europe. Kevan holds a bachelor’s degree in Film, Video and Integrated Media from Emily Carr University of Art & Design in Vancouver, Canada.
