Jonathan Watton is an actor and director from Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
As an actor, his recent credits include series work on Murdoch Mysteries, Ken Finkleman’s Good God for HBO Canada, Covert Affairs, Republic of Doyle, and as Ron Maclean in CBC’s Don Cherry: Grapes of Wrath.
His recent stage work was the Canadian premieres of The Pitmen Painters at Theatre Aquarius and In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play) at the Tarragon theatre.
His emerging career as a director includes the short, Last of the Snow, which premiered at the 31st Atlantic Film Festival and recently screened at the 2012 CFC: World Wide Short Film Festival.
His short documentary, Faces: Women of Rumrol, was a part of the Short-Sighted Festival at The Rooms in St. John’s.
His short film, The Pamplemousse, supported by bravoFACT, Tele-Quebec, and the NFB premiered at Le Festival de Cinéma de la Ville de Québec.
