Patrick Sisam is an award winning writer and director, whose films and TV commercials have screened around the world. He’s also the founding Creative Director (and employee #3) of the UK based film & TV Website blinkbox.
Patrick’s feature film The Year of Getting to Know Us, starring Sharon Stone, Lucy Liu and Jimmy Fallon, premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and was released internationally by E1 Entertainment.
His short film Love Child has won numerous international festival awards and been broadcast on HBO, Channel 4 UK and in over 20 other countries. His TV movie Dinner Along the Amazon was nominated for a Canadian Gemini Award and he directed the pilot and twenty-three episodes of the series Adventures in Golf.
Patrick created the distinct voice of blinkbox.com. As a Creative Director, he’s also worked with the BBC and the London/New York animation house Breakfast of Champions. Patrick wrote and directed the BMW short film Drive, which won gold medals at the World Media Awards and The New York Festivals of Advertising and has also directed numerous TV commercials. He started his commercial career at Saatchi & Saatchi/SPAin London.
As a journalist, Patrick has been a contributor to Canada’s Globe and Mail and National Post and the UK’s News of the World. He has a BA from McGill University and an MFA from NYU Film School and has taught screenwriting at NYU and Centennial College, Toronto.
He also directed, co-wrote, and co-produced the bravoFACT short, Pool Date.
