Jesse Harley

Jesse Harley is an award winning film director who was born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Jesse has been making films since the age of 10.


Jesse directed the film The Letter, which won Short of the Week on CBC television’s Zed.  He edited and created the visual effects for the short film, Wonder Woman: Sacrifice, which received more than 12,000 views on spike.com. He directed the 35mm short, Like Father, which premiered at the 2010 Atlantic Film Festival to rave reviews, and won Best Cinematography and Best Atlantic Short. Jesse also directed the bravoFACT short Ticonderoga, which premiered at the Atlantic Film Festival in 2012.

Jesse has worked as an editor and visual effects artist in Toronto and Calgary, and has  moved back to Nova Scotia to pursue his directing career. He is a graduate of the Screen Arts Program at the Nova Scotia Community College and has taken courses with AFCOOP and The Center for Art Tapes
